Schedule

Shifts at either the Markham or RCC site Monday to Saturday (0830-1630h). Please note, schedule is subject to change based on operational demands. It is the responsibility of casual staff to provide reasonable availability to their department, inclusive of a minimum of two weekdays and two weekends within each 6-week period. 48_Budget Created with Sketch.

Support

As a member of our interprofessional team, you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, education and counseling to adult inpatients with swallowing and communication impairments within the subacute and acute stroke patient population – in addition to the support of a variety of subacute and acute medicine, and rehab adult populations within Markham Stouffville Hospital. 48_Business Development Created with Sketch.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years’ recent experience with dysphagia and communication disorders in a subacute and/or acute medical environment (ALC, general medicine, neurology, and stroke rehab patient populations). Recent experience with treatment/management of speech, language, and cognitive communication disorders. 48_Creative Created with Sketch.
