The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the WSP Buildings team, working three days per week in our Thornhill office. You'll collaborate with senior engineers to apply your expertise in plumbing, drainage, HVAC, and fire protection design across diverse projects in commercial, residential, institutional, and retail sectors. This role offers variety and challenge, including involvement in construction contract administration processes and protocols.

Your Impact

  • Design and deliver plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems for new builds and retrofit projects.
  • Conduct engineering studies and assessments that inform project decisions and enhance building performance.
  • Translate markups into precise CAD or Revit MEP drawings to bring concepts to life.
  • Oversee quality and coordination across disciplines, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Perform site surveys and reviews during design and construction phases to ensure compliance with OBC and contract documents.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario with 5+ years of experience in building systems design.
  • Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems, supported by knowledge of OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and CSA standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP, plus solid MS Office skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
