About You / What We Are Looking For
The City of Coquitlam is currently seeking an experienced and committed Aquatic Maintenance Supervisor to join our Facilities division.If you have prior experience in supervisory, operational and technical work involving building and equipment operation, maintenance and repairs in aquatic centres, this opportunity is for you!
As the Aquatic Maintenance Supervisor, you would be supervising and participating in the work of staff, relating to building and equipment maintenance repairs and operational and janitorial tasks. Further, you would be responsible for maintaining pools and their associated equipment. As well, you would be assisting a Manager to develop, maintain and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. This position also requires the ability to develop working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will have completed 12th grade education supplemented by technical courses in facility operations, plus considerable related experience in pool and building maintenance and repair, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Pool Operator’s Certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory courses are considered an asset, and Pool Operator Level 2 Certification is considered an asset.
What We Offer:
This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $37.32 - $43.93. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
