Job description

If you're hands-on, hardworking, and eager to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Labourer in our Contents department, you'll play an important role in helping restore and protect customers' belongings after unexpected events. From carefully packing and moving items to supporting warehouse operations and cleaning contents, no two days are the same. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, values teamwork, and wants to learn more about the restoration industry while building practical skills along the way.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONTENTS LABOURER

As a Labourer, you are part of the team that helps recover, protect, and restore customers' belongings. Your day may start in the warehouse preparing equipment and supplies before heading out with your team to a customer site. You might help carefully pack and inventory contents, move furniture and household items, clean and restore belongings, or transport items between sites and the warehouse.

Some days involve organizing materials and supporting warehouse operations, while others have you out in the field assisting with contents removal or delivery. You will learn proper handling techniques, restoration processes, and equipment use from experienced team members. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic help ensure items are handled safely and customers receive the care and service they deserve.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of tools, materials, or cleaning techniques
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Proficient in using mobile devices and relevant applications
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Effective communication skills and a positive team attitude
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving abstract required
  • Fit test and other safety certifications
  • Includes participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule
  • Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
