Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrician-Gynaecologist to join a collegial team of four generalists in a community hospital setting. The team attends approximately 700 deliveries annually and provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Hospital
The hospital is a Level 2A facility with full paediatric and anaesthesia support. It collaborates closely with local midwives, offering consultative services. Candidates may begin in a locum capacity with the option to transition into a permanent position.

The surgical department features state-of-the-art operating rooms (opened in 2018), fully equipped for advanced minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

Position Highlights
  • Start date: Immediate
  • OR time: 2 days/month
  • Home call: One weekday and one weekend per month
  • Ambulatory care access: For procedures such as LEEPs
  • Academic opportunities: Teaching and mentoring through the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University
Compensation: $325,000–$425,000/year, depending on call schedule (currently 1:3, with higher earning potential).

Candidate Requirements
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
  • Interest in minimally invasive gynaecology or urogynecology is considered an asset
