Journeyman Millwright $44.00 - $45.00 per hour - Calgary, AB

Are you a Journeyman Red Seal Millwright with strong troubleshooting skills in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment?

Our client, a global market leader in the building materials manufacturing industry, is looking for a highly skilled Journeyman Millwright for their Southeast Calgary facility. This is a critical role designed for a safety-minded tradesperson who excels at installing, repairing, and optimizing complex production machinery to ensure maximum plant efficiency.

As a Journeyman Millwright, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and serve as a technical expert, working cohesively with other trades to minimize downtime in a fast-paced, high-volume production plant.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Calgary, AB (Southeast)
Schedule: 12-Hour Continental Shift (2-week rotation between Days and Nights)
Environment: Heavy Industrial Manufacturing
Wage: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Equipment Repair & Overhaul: Disassemble, repair, and reassemble complex, specialized high-volume manufacturing machinery.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues using superior analytical skills to minimize equipment downtime.
Welding & Fabrication: Utilize specialized welding and brazing tools to repair and modify machinery components.
Precision Alignment: Align high-speed manufacturing equipment using specialized precision tools.
Technical Documentation: Review, interpret, and follow highly technical machinery manuals and blueprints.
CMMS Tracking: Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage parts utilizing computer-based maintenance management software.
Compliance & Safety: Strictly adhere to company safety rules, regulations, and standard heavy manufacturing PPE requirements.

Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Certification: Valid Interprovincial Millwright License (Red Seal required).
Schedule Flexibility: Fully comfortable working a 12-hour continental shift rotating every 2 weeks between days and nights (including weekends).
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with mechanical troubleshooting and a proven ability to learn/adopt computer-based maintenance software (CMMS).
Autonomy & Teamwork: Proven ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent communication and cohesion with other trades.
Experience Asset: Previous maintenance experience within a high-volume industrial plant or heavy manufacturing setting is highly valued.
