Job descriptionJob Title: Maintenance ManagerLocation: Aurora, OntarioEmployment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, OnsiteIndustry: Flexible Packaging / ManufacturingSchedule: Full-time with flexibility required to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function for a well-established flexible-packaging manufacturing facility in Aurora. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this individual will oversee the maintenance team, production equipment, facility operations, contractors, departmental budget and capital-improvement projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong industrial electrical background with solid mechanical knowledge, ideally with an approximate 70% electrical and 30% mechanical skill set. The facility operates sophisticated, PLC-controlled equipment, including flexographic presses, laminators, extrusion equipment, drives, servo systems, HMIs and automated inspection systems. This is not a turnaround environment. The plant is currently operating with low downtime and strong equipment reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining that stability while strengthening preventive maintenance practices, developing the internal team, managing costs and supporting several active equipment-modernization projects. The role offers significant ownership and autonomy, including responsibility for vendor selection, maintenance budgeting, CapEx support, facility maintenance and team performance.
