We are looking for a Claims Adjuster who focuses on member‑centric claim resolution and meets / exceeds key performance indicators.
What You Will Do
Investigate, evaluate, analyze, negotiate and settle property claims (low to moderate severity).
Interpret policy conditions and confirm coverage for policy holders.
Conduct investigations – take phone statements, coordinate services, consult contractors and vendors.
Evaluate liability, salvage and subrogation exposure and potential.
Contact and coordinate all parties involved in the claims process.
Review and analyze initial losses to ensure file meets assignment criteria.
Respond to client complaints and appeals.
Determine proper kind of loss (KOL) reserves based on exposure and authority level.
Examine claims files handled by Independent Adjusters when required.
Prepare and maintain various reports on property claims.
Provide general support for the claims area and special projects as required.
Who You Are
Relevant post‑secondary education.
2‑5 years of prior property claims handling experience with 2‑3 years of customer service experience.
CIP designation or working toward a CIP designation.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills are essential.
