Job description
We are looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join Tiny Hoppers Sherwood Park.

A successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a kind and gentle approach when interacting with children, and the ability to create engaging, creative learning experiences that foster children's development.

Requirements:
  • Standard First Aid and CPR-C.
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of ECEs.
  • Up-to-date immunization record.
  • Great communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Must be able to plan and assist with daily program and activities following an emergent curriculum.
  • Must be able to maintain proper documentation.
  • Food Handlers certificate (preferred).

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children under 6 that promote physical, cognitive and social development.
  • Complete daily observations of children and prepare documentation of their learning.
  • Communicate with families to foster an open and collaborative relationship and actively encouraging their participation in the program.
  • Assist children with mealtimes, naptime, toileting and dressing.
  • Work collaboratively with Tiny Hoppers staff.
  • Adhere to Halton Region and Ministry of Education regulations.
  • Ensure children are engaged in activities, playing safely and having fun.
