SCADA Engineer

Our client, located in Markham, is a growing systems integrator specializing MES and SCADA solutions. They are actively looking for an experience SCADA Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for leading and contributing to requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and commissioning of SCADA and MES solutions. This is a hybrid or office role.

Responsibilities:

Designing and developing SCADA, PLC and MES applications and systems.
Delivering successful implementations as per client requirements, budget, and schedule.
Writing technical documentation including requirements specifications, design specifications, and test protocols for SCADA, PLC and MES solutions.
Providing advice and technical consultation to clients.
Installing and commissioning systems at client facilities.
Developing and delivering end-user training.
Providing ongoing support to clients.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred).
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
5+ years of AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) or Ignition SCADA experience required.
5+ years of Rockwell or Schneider PLC programming experience.
Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other database technologies.
Proven experience commissioning solutions in production environment.
Demonstrated success in project execution, collaboration with team members and clients.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to be client-facing and work directly with clients, including consulting experience including requirements gathering and on-site commissioning.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skill.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
Willingness to travel to client sites.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI/ISA-95 and ANSI/ISA-88.

This is a new role with compensation ranging from $80,000 to $125,000 depending on experience.
