Position Senior Project Manager – Construction & Systems Integration

Department Endless Surf (ES)

Location Vancouver, BC

Reports to Chief Operating Officer - Endless Surf

Purpose

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Endless Surf projects globally, leading execution from contract award through design, procurement, construction, commission, operational launch, and service activation. This role ensures the successful integration of the Endless Surf wave lagoon system within client-led large scale development projects. You will bring deep expertise in integrating specialized equipment and technology systems to ensure seamless coordination between design engineering, construction execution, and operational performance requirements. Acting as the central point of leadership across multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls as well as aligning developers, EPC contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities, you will drive safe, on-time, on-budget, and margin-aligned delivery. With full ownership of project performance, the Senior Project Manager ensures each facility is fully commissioned and operational on Day , while establishing and scaling project management methodologies, governance, and reporting frameworks to support a growing global portfolio and consistent, profitable delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Up To

Program & Project Ownership

  • Lead multiple global projects through the full lifecycle from contract handover, planning, and design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning, and Day operations
  • Translate commercial agreements into executable delivery plans, ensuring alignment across Sales, Engineering, Clients, and Delivery teams
  • Drive multidisciplinary engineering integration and interface management across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
  • Own contract administration, commercial performance, and vendor coordination, ensuring effective execution in complex, capital-intensive environments
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risks and issues in dynamic construction settings
  • Maintain rigorous control of schedule, cost, margin, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead commissioning strategy, system validation, and seamless transition to operations

Construction Oversight, Commissioning & Training, Subsystem Delivery & Technical Integration

  • Lead construction execution of the Endless Surf scope, acting as the primary interface between Endless Surf and client-led civil, infrastructure, structural, and MEP works and efficiently deploying site supervision, engineering, training and commissioning assets (internal and rd party) for work completion
  • Drive design coordination and technical documentation to ensure constructability, sequencing, design compliance, and alignment with overall project schedules
  • Manage procurement, logistics, and delivery of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring readiness to support construction sequencing and installation milestones
  • Direct and oversee contractors and subcontractors during installation, ensuring compliance with Endless Surf specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
  • Actively manage site activities, resolving field issues, coordinating interfaces, and maintaining progress against schedule, cost, and quality targets
  • Ensure seamless integration of Endless Surf systems within the broader construction works, proactively managing interfaces, dependencies, and risks across disciplines
  • Lead commissioning strategy, execution, and system validation, including performance testing and defect resolution
  • Oversee client training and operational handover, including integration of proprietary software systems to enable a successful Day launch

Operational Readiness & Facility Launch

  • Drive full readiness for facility opening, including: Systems functionality and integration Coordination with client operational teams and vendors
  • Support POS and booking system implementation Ensure successful transition from delivery to live operations, with accountability for Day readiness

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Own project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow performance
  • Ensure timely execution of: Milestone billing and invoicing Equipment billing at point of shipment Change orders and cost recovery
  • Lead procurement of Endless Surf equipment and ensure alignment with project delivery timelines and contractual commitments
  • Approve vendor invoices and manage procurement execution
  • Ensure timely collection of receivables
  • Monitor procurement activities and support margin optimization
  • Support activation and transition to ongoing service contracts and recurring revenue

PMO Development & Governance

  • Establish and implement project management standards, tools, and reporting frameworks
  • Introduce governance structures including risk management, stage gates, and performance tracking across all projects
  • Provide clear portfolio-level reporting to leadership

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, contractors, and partners
  • Manage complex, multi-party stakeholder environments
  • Lead issue resolution and escalation to maintain project momentum

Qualifications & Experience – Hard Skills Qualify You

  • –+ years in project/program management in civil and commercial construction, infrastructure
  • PMP certification (or equivalent required)
  • Post-secondary education in engineering (civil, structural, industrial, mechanical and/or electrical), construction management, or related field (P. Eng an asset)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary systems within larger development projects
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning and operational launch of facilities or systems
  • Strong commercial acumen, including contract execution, cost control, and cash flow management
  • Proficiency in project tools (MS Project, Excel, SharePoint; ERP experience an asset)
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required

  • Entertainment, theme parks, resorts, or destination developments
  • Aquatic facilities or complex mechanical/electrical systems
  • Owner’s representative or developer-side roles
  • Integration of hardware, software, and operational systems
