Construction coordinator Jobs in Maple Ridge, BC

MatchBox Consulting Group is partnering with a national civil construction contractor, headquartered in Langley, BC, to hire an experienced Civil Surveyor to support layout and surveying requirements across their active Lower Mainland project sites. Our client has a strong and growing backlog, having recently secured work that carries them well into next year, and this role will be part of that ongoing pipeline of civil, site development, and infrastructure projects.

This is a field-based role covering multiple active sites at once. You'll be a hands-on civil surveyor, working closely with field teams and trades to keep projects moving, and you'll need to be comfortable managing priorities across more than one site at a time, which is standard for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction surveying and layout across civil construction projects, including landscape and site development work.
• Establish and set points from survey control.
• Complete layout for various aspects of civil projects.
• Operate Total Station and GNSS survey equipment.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center.
• Support multiple active projects at once and coordinate surveying requirements across sites.
• Work closely with field teams and trades.
• Maintain surveying accuracy and quality-control standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve field surveying issues independently.
• Assist with scheduling, field coordination, and site requirements as needed.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of civil construction surveying experience.
• Hands-on experience with construction layout, not property/legal surveying.
• Strong understanding of civil and site construction.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center.
• Experience with Total Station and GNSS survey technology.
• Ability to set points from control and layout all aspects of a civil project.
• Ability to independently problem-solve in the field.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects at once.
• Strong quality control knowledge and detail orientation.
• Valid BC driver's licence required.
• First Aid certification an asset.
