What will your typical day look like?

As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role leading collaborative engagement teams, with responsibilities ranging from recommending innovative solutions to clients to developing client deliverables or products and presenting findings to senior leaders across government and the broader public sector. Senior Managers, will also take on broader leadership responsibilities, including overseeing large, complex projects, managing multiple client relationships, and driving the growth and development of the Edmonton practice.

Your day-to-day experience will involve the following:

  • Working collaboratively with client personnel, leveraging their resources and knowledge to achieve project goals and complete deliverables on time, cultivating and managing relationships at the client leadership and executive levels.
  • Identifying sales opportunities and leading the development of proposals to assist clients in improving their performance. Work on client engagements includes designing and delivering transformed end-to-end service experiences to customers and employees, delivering process transformation augmented by data-driven tools, streamlining operations through save-to-transform strategies, and implementing new technology solutions as part of large business transformations.
  • Contributing to practice thought leadership and service development, coaching and developing practice staff on client engagements, and participating in firm recruiting events to help the practice attract highly talented team members.
  • Senior Managers will have an increased focus on business development, managing and growing key client accounts, leading large-scale transformation engagements, and contributing to the strategic direction of the practice.

Whether it’s developing new strategies, improving citizen services including digital transformation and innovation, optimizing processes, enhancing government accountability and transparency, or conducting operational reviews, our practitioners work with federal, provincial and municipal governments as well as Crown agencies, and other service providers to improve their portfolio offerings.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with the following attributes:

  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience for Manager level; 10+ years for Senior Manager level, including exposure to business transformation, operational modelling, service modernization, digital solutions, and strategy development and execution (preferably with a large consulting firm).
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Public Policy/Administration, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant degree (MBA or other relevant master’s degree is considered an asset).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with and lead others effectively in teams. Senior Managers will have a proven track record leading large teams and managing complex client relationships.
  • Experience in business development and delivering the full cycle of project management accountabilities. Senior Managers will have demonstrated success in developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and leading large-scale transformation projects.
  • Superior verbal and written communication with creative ability to conceptualize and articulate new approaches and solutions (bilingualism is considered an asset).
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with competing deadlines and rapidly evolving client needs and conditions.
  • Commitment to professional and client service excellence with the ability to build solid relationships.
  • Ability to obtain federal security clearance.
  • Experience with digital product delivery, advanced analytics, and disruptive technologies (intelligent automation, AI & machine learning, cloud) is an asset.
  • Experience with Project and Portfolio Management and related enabling technologies is an asset. Certifications in project and/or program management is also an asset.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000 (Manager) or $105,000 - $234,000 (Senior Manager), and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
