POSITION OVERVIEW : Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor the position performs a variety of sewing quality control and conformance functions.
These duties include but are not limited to reading specs and examining filter bags to ensure they meet Albarrie quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Inspects filter bags upon completion to ensure they meet Albarrie’s quality standards as per the engineer drawing.
Folding and stacking filter bags on table.
Identifying and utilizing the appropriate cell plates tbased on the engineer drawing.
Repackaging repaired filter bags from customers as per specifications.
Occasionally tapes boxes before they are filled, as needed.
Completes order information by labeling boxes for shipping materials.
Fill out quality control sheets for all specs.
Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
Sewing experience is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS : Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent if studied in a different province or country) Basic knowledge of Fabrics Some knowledge of sewing techniques Some knowledge of reading specification sheets and engineer drawings Experience using a computer including an ERP system to scan in and out of work orders.
