Job Title: Industrial Assembler
Job Description

This role involves assembling industrial equipment by following detailed schematics and drawings. The job requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, though overhead cranes and forklifts can be used to assist. As part of the role, you will engage in repetitive tasks using tools, and hydronic testing will be taught to you. You will be part of a team responsible for completing multiple items daily.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial equipment using provided tools and kits.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to guide assembly processes.
  • Engage in repetitive assembly tasks with wrenches ranging from 12 inches to 6 feet.
  • Conduct hydronic testing after receiving proper training.
  • Lift materials up to 50 pounds with the assistance of overhead cranes or forklifts when necessary.
  • Log in and out of jobs using an MRP system.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and drawings.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems or ERP experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in assembling heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, testing procedures, and operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of hydraulics is an asset.
  • Power overhead crane and forklift certification.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Experience with military vehicles, heavy construction equipment, or large gearboxes is desirable.

Work Environment

The job is located in an 80,000 sqft facility, split between a machine shop and an assembly area. The environment is clean and environmentally conscious, with amenities such as a lunchroom equipped with two TVs and a training room. The shop operates with a team of 40, including machinists and assembly staff. Personal protective equipment is provided, and standard work hours are 7:00 am to 3:15 pm, with potential shifts from 6:00 am to 2:15 pm after probation. The company is flexible with shift arrangements, and there are opportunities for overtime and weekend work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
