The role of Software Developer involves maintaining and enhancing a mission-critical, high-volume claims payment system using COBOL on an IBM Mainframe. The position requires recent hands-on experience with DB2 and IMS databases, and the ability to develop, test, and document structured programs. The developer will work closely with business analysts and testing teams to implement solutions based on legislative and program requirements. This includes supporting continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to compliance standards, and troubleshooting production incidents as needed in a hybrid work setup.
