We have an existing opportunity to add a Senior/Intermediate Property Field Adjuster to our Southwestern Ontario Team! You will work in a Hybrid based environment supporting field requests within London/Windsor and surrounding areas. Candidates may be based in London or Windsor while covering a large and diverse territory across Southwestern Ontario.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Residential/Commercial Property Adjuster to join our growing claims team in Southwestern Ontario. This role is well suited to a self‑driven professional seeking a flexible and rewarding career, who is motivated to build strong client relationships and continue developing toward more complex losses.

In this position, you will investigate, evaluate, manage, and resolve commercial property claims from initial loss through to final settlement, while delivering an exceptional experience to our clients, brokers, and stakeholders. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining a strong client base across Southwestern Ontario. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear development pathway toward Large Loss and complex claims handling.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a customer‑focused approach, along with a CIP designation and 3 to 5 years of commercial property adjusting experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle moderate to complex commercial property claims in accordance with policy wordings, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze coverage, determine liability, and assess damages related to property losses (e.g., fire, water, wind, theft).
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with insureds, brokers, contractors, engineers, and legal counsel.
  • Prepare accurate and thorough claim files, reports, estimates, and settlement documentation.
  • Negotiate settlements professionally and within appropriate authority levels.
  • Maintain compliance with internal standards, service commitments, and industry best practices.
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud indicators when applicable.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced adjusters, as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience handling commercial property claims.
  • CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property policy coverage and claims practices.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple claims while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and estimating tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Why join ClaimsPro? We are proud of our people, and it shows:

  • You will be part of a team of over 700 independent adjusters from 9 other provinces, 2 territories

  • Your career can grow into other lines of claims, branch management, across Canada into other branches, or new roles - the sky is the limit

  • You will work on the industry-leading iAdjust software, designed by an adjuster for adjusters and kept modern with our in-house team of programmers and developers

  • You will be supported by experienced local claims support, centralized after hours support, and dictation services

  • Your claims load is driven by senior executives and business development staff from coast to coast

  • You are compensated for your billable hours and other costs.

  • You are working in parallel with other SCM Insurance services teams
