Mr. Handyman of Burnaby, New Westminster and N Vancouver is looking for Skilled Technicians to serve our residential and commercial customers. You can earn a comfortable living helping clients with small to medium repairs, remodeling and

improvement projects. We are part of a national franchise but locally owned with a focus on "smaller" projects in the size range of a few hours to a few days. We offer a company van, benefits as well as a professional environment while empowering our team to grow and prosper.

• We're looking for skilled tradesperson with 5-10 years of experience and skills across a broad spectrum of maintenance/repair and remodeling skill categories. We are looking for employees not subcontractors.
• The ideal candidate has a strong carpentry background and have a "can do" attitude.
• Must have your own tools fit for many job types. Larger equipment provided and is shared among our team.
• Excellent customer communication skills required as often you're the only one of our staff in the customers home or commercial location.
• You must have a clean driving record (no DUI or suspended license) and pass a background check before being hired.
• Must be
• Friendly with good, clean appearance.
• Reasonably proficient with computers and tablet/smartphone apps
• Takes pride in work and delivers a great result each time.

Specific Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium repairs, remodeling, and improvement projects
• light demo work
• carpentry
• drywall repairs
• facilities maintenace
• painting
• cabinets and counters
• assembly and repair
• Communicate with customers about scope of work and cost estimates
• Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment
• Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed
• Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is $32.00 to $40.00 per billable hour and is dependent on your experience home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.

Extended health benefits are available after a probationary period.

As an employee you are paid for statutory holidays, vacation pay and sick days after the probationary period.
