Job descriptionHamilton Facility. Previous experience operating steel processing equipment (saw, cutters etc.) Overhead crane operation experience a strong asset. Ability to read a tape measure in both imperial and metric system. Strong focus on health and safety policies and procedures. Able to multi task and keep accurate records of processed material. Able to work well in a team but also autonomously. Wage : $23.00-$30.00 / Hour Vacation. Paid sick and Bereavement leaves. Flexible extended health and dental care packages. About The Position
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Machine Operator will be responsible for but not limited to :
- Efficient and accurate operation of Walters machines.
- Studies work orders and interpret blueprints to determine bevel requirements.
- Ensures dimensional accuracies and tolerances.
- Maintain accurate records of the machine and ensure all required paperwork is completed correctly.
- Troubleshoots machine problems working with maintenance when required.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Runs machine in accordance with Walters safe work practices and procedures.
- Ensures all tools / equipment and machines are operated with care.
