  • Key Responsibility Summary :

    The Business Development Manager is responsible for ensuring achievement of revenue objectives for the assigned territory ( Kitchener and Waterloo). Revenue is to be generated from a variety of sales and marketing duties, including researching and pursuing new referral sources. This position is responsible for reporting results in moving relationships forward to the Franchise Owner on a daily / weekly basis, discussing successes and opportunities as well as documenting progress in sales / marketing / networking areas.

    What you’ll be doing (Highlights) :

  • Responsible for researching and developing client relationships and producing referrals; performs all phases of sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, diagnosis of referral source and client needs; and recommendation of appropriate ComForCare Home Care services with special reference to person-centered care.
  • Acquire new businesses to increase overall market share.
  • In conjunction with our leadership team, develop strategic sales and marketing plans, detailing daily, weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals.
  • Effectively present ComForCare Home Care marketing materials and services to referral providers,
  • including 1 : 1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers.

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls; presentations; closed sales; and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of recommended software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers.
  • Bonus and commission-based incentives are available based on the number of clients brought in.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in business development or relationship management role, preferably in the home care or healthcare industry.
  • Minimum of High school diploma / GED or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) ; College Diploma is a bonus
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the senior care market and healthcare system in Kitchener / Waterloo is an
  • asset.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle, as the role requires frequent travel within the city (no overnight travel).
  • Job requires 75% of travel within Waterloo Region
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and restrictions in home care services
  • Must have an excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience as a business relationship specialist or business liaison is required
  • Flexible work from home options available.
