Tasks

Provide advice to senior managers and officials
Participate in the commercialization of new products
Supervise biological technologists and technicians and other scientists
Produce reports
Conduct clinical or laboratory studies to test, evaluate and screen drugs, pharmaceuticals and nanoparticles used in biomedical applications
Conduct research in biotechnology to discover, develop and refine, and evaluate new products
Conduct literature reviews
Conduct evaluations and assessments of health projects and programs
Co-ordinate multidisciplinary projects
Monitor and compile research results
Offer mentoring
Monitor and evaluate
