Job Title: Forklift Operator - SIMS
Job Description

The role of a Forklift Operator requires you to spend 50% of your time operating a forklift and the other 50% engaging with an ERP system, manual picking, and systematic transactions. You will be transitioning to RF scanning technology. While previous manual picking experience is not mandatory, a willingness to learn is essential. You will handle ingredients stored at different temperatures, which involves entering fridges, freezers, and warm rooms. You will follow work orders to prepare for the next day, including lifting and palletizing items weighing up to 50 lbs. Additionally, you will partake in shipping and receiving, and loading products onto trailers in the back warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts for 50% of the workday.
• Engage with ERP systems and perform manual picking and systematic transactions.
• Transition to using RF scanning technology.
• Handle ingredients stored at various temperatures, including entry into fridges, freezers, and warm rooms.
• Follow work orders to prepare for the next day's operations.
• Lift and repeatedly handle items up to 50 lbs during palletizing.
• Participate in shipping and receiving processes.
• Load products onto trailers and move raw materials and finished products to shipping doors.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation and material handling experience.
• Experience with shipping and receiving.
• Ability to lift and manage 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Certified in walkie forklift operation with 6 months to 1 year experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• GMP experience is a plus.
• Possession of an AZ license is advantageous.
• Experience in inventory management and order picking is beneficial.

Work Environment

The facility specializes in producing granola bars with nuts, providing a clean and aromatic environment. Candidates must not have peanut allergies due to the presence of nuts. The facility adheres to GMP standards, and while it can become warm in summer, it maintains a controlled temperature overall. The warehouse is adjacent to the production floor, requiring careful navigation of tight aisles with safety as a priority. Personal protective equipment includes a hair net, lab coat, steel toe shoes, and no jewelry. Shifts are structured as follows: Days (7am – 3:30pm), Afternoons (3pm – 11:30pm), Nights (11pm – 7:30am).

The pay range for this position is $20.89 - $20.89/hr.
