Job descriptionPost‑secondary diploma in business or related courses, programs, licenses (insurance related) and / or equivalent work experience. Minimum 4 years in a claims or property insurance environment. 1–2 years of hands‑on experience handling home insurance claims, with working knowledge of home policies, processes, and property‑related investigations. CIP designation. Proficiency in a second language.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional relationship with the insurer primarily over the phone.
- Investigate the legitimacy of the claim, interview and take statements from policyholders, claimants and witnesses.
- Review information including estimates, photos, videos of property damage, proof of ownership, hospital records, and other pertinent information required to substantiate the claim.
- Negotiate a fair and cost‑effective settlement with the insurers, claimants or claimants’ legal representative either directly or through retained counsel.

Salary and Benefits
Salary range : $62,274.60 to $77,843.16. Eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with opportunity to earn up to 9%. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, benefits include a competitive rewards package, pension plan, paid time off including vacation, wellness, volunteering, and cultural or religious connection, BCAA membership, and more.
