About the role
We’re looking for a Auto & Property Subrogation Adjuster to join our growing team!
In this role your work will have a big impact on the investigation, negotiation, and settlement of auto and basic property subrogation claims.
You will provide quality service and ensure prompt and equitable recovery of claims in line with corporate policies and standards.
What you’ll do here :
- Investigate losses with moderate complexity. Ensure prompt and equitable recoveries in line with our corporate policies and standards.
- Develop action plans for conducting investigations by determining necessary contacts, collection feasibility, and / or legal action.
- Analyze and document the claim by collecting and securing appropriate reports and statements from customers, witnesses and any other parties or experts to determine damage, liability, and opportunity for recovery.
- Negotiate with third parties, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims.
- As required, attend court proceedings or hearings to provide information on claims.
- Provide quality customer service to external or internal customers.
- Answer queries relating to investigations and the claims process.
- Maintain effective communication channels with claims departments and liaise with adjusters, experts, management, and other claims representatives on technical and administrative issues.
- Maintain productive business relationships with service providers and monitor performance to ensure compliance with professional and corporate standards.
- Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table :
- University degree or college diploma and / or equivalent combination of business experience
- Minimum 2 years property, casualty, auto and / or subrogation claims handling experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of litigation processes considered an asset.
- Completed or working towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation considered an asset.
Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity :
$51,600.00 - $77,400.00
