Job Description
Job Description
The Territory Assistant supports the execution of Hallmark programs and products at retail locations within an assigned territory. This role assists with merchandising, revisions, installations, and ongoing store support while maintaining strong relationships with retail partners. The Territory Assistant also helps coordinate and train part-time service employees and supports day-to-day territory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Service Execution at Retail
Assist with the execution of all product programs at the retail level under the direction of the Territory Manager
Ensure service schedules are met by providing coverage for vacancies, vacations, or sick days as needed
Support productivity standards and ensure service is maximized at all times
Review expenses and service-related information with Retail Representatives to ensure alignment with assigned budgets
Train new and existing employees on merchandising processes and procedures
Revisions and Installations
Participate in department revisions, remerchandising projects, relocations, and new store installations as required
Partner with the Territory Installation Manager to follow up and ensure installations are completed accurately and on time
Communication and Relationship Management
Maintain regular communication with the Territory Manager and territory colleagues regarding upcoming programs and in-store activities
Act as a Hallmark representative at the store level to identify issues or opportunities and communicate them to management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with store-level management
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Work performed primarily in retail environments; infrequent work in construction environments
Frequent driving between store locations within the assigned territory
Physical activity required, including merchandising displays, handling inventory, and assisting with installations
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis
Skills & Abilities
Strong communication skills to share information clearly, follow instructions, and resolve store-level issues
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
Collaborative approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently while following company guidelines and schedules
Education & Qualifications
High School Diploma required
