Job description

Job Overview

Reporting to the Vice-President as the Cabinet Assembler you are responsible to assemble cabinets according to specifications while you work in a safe manner and adhere to Qualico’s Safety Program.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and building cabinets according to design specifications.
  • Utilizing various power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
  • Ensuring all work is plumb, level, and meets quality standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to plan projects and manage timelines.
  • Assisting in other areas of production as required.
  • Working in an organized and safe manner, adhering to Qualico’s Safety Program and relevant safety regulations. Reporting incidents or near-miss incidents immediately to management.

Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a cabinet maker or similar carpentry role.
  • Proficient in using power and hand tools relevant to cabinet making.
  • Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate in Cabinetry and Woodworking is preferred.

Work Conditions

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Evening shift: 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
