Electromechanical Assembler
Location: Halifax, NS (Bayer’s Lake area)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $46,000 – $56,000 per yearAbout the Opportunity
Our client is an advanced engineering company based in Halifax, specializing in high-power radio frequency (RF) systems. They design and manufacture cutting-edge technology that supports global clients across a variety of industries, helping them stay at the forefront of innovation.Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to join their team.The Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to support the assembly and testing of advanced RF systems. This is a hands-on role with exposure to a wide range of assemblies—from small modules to full system builds.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform kitting, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing of electromechanical components
  • Assemble products at the module, equipment, rack, and system levels
  • Complete cable harness assembly, crimping, and soldering (through-hole and SMT)
  • Work with adhesives, chemicals, and compounds for bonding and encapsulation
  • Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and assembly instructions
  • Measure and verify components to ensure quality standards are met
  • Identify and report issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Align and fit parts using templates, jigs, and fixtures
Qualifications
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing or product development environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation
  • Comfortable working with hand tools, small components, and precision assemblies
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to sit, stand, and lift as required; strong visual acuity
  • Familiarity with IPC and ISO standards is considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in electronics, a skilled trade, or a related field is preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and security clearances
