Job Title: Finishing CarpenterJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled finishing carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing doors and hardware, including lever sets, weather strips, door closures, panic doors, and door stops. You must be able to interpret and follow detailed instructions to ensure high-quality installations. As a versatile handyman with a keen eye for detail, you will also navigate iPads and solve problems efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install doors and hardware such as lever sets, weather strips, door closures, and panic doors.
• Wire up panic doors and install door stops.
• Read and follow step-by-step installation instructions.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Operate iPads and other technology for project tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, framing, carpentry, and finish work.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including cordless drills and power equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a carpenter or in a specialty sub-trade.
• Capability to lift 50lbs regularly and wear PPE at all times.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of basic tools such as a cordless drill and driver bits.
• First aid certification.
• Experience in welding.
• Commitment to the project for at least 2 years.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 7 AM to 3 PM, in a collaborative team of 2-4 people focused on door installations. You will be part of a project expected to last about 3 years, ensuring a stable work setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
