THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an immediate opening for a Major Accounts Product Specialist in our Product Solutions Department. In this role, you will build creative solutions, prepare quotes for our Dealers, and liaise with Client Services and Design Engineers throughout the process. You will play a key role in managing complex projects, developing customized furniture solutions, and ensuring accuracy from concept through to production. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, with strong customer service and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare furniture layout drawings, renderings, 3D drawings, and complete proposal packages
  • Create quotes for Dealers by identifying customer requirements including scope, budget, and competitive information; develop solutions and source pricing
  • Audit specifications against drawings and produce order-ready documentation; consult with Dealers on revisions
  • Communicate product specifications, design intent, and value effectively
  • Prepare accurate orders including specifications, quantities, pricing, discounts, and service instructions
  • Manage complex projects, including reviewing documents, furniture specifications, applications, and product strategy
  • Collaborate with Product Development to create custom designs and new product enhancements
  • Work with suppliers to integrate specialized hardware into designs, ensuring functionality and aesthetics
  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to price and validate custom solutions
  • Quote custom materials (e.g., veneer, metal, hardware) and design built-in solutions similar to millwork
  • Oversee prototype testing to ensure designs meet specifications and performance standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and productivity targets are met
  • Consult with Engineering on layout, design, and space planning
  • Attend client planning meetings to assess needs and develop solutions
  • Provide technical design consultation and answer routine and complex product inquiries
  • Verify approval drawings and specifications; obtain customer sign-off
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BRC product lines, features, pricing, and applications
  • Support new product development initiatives when required
  • Provide project updates to management
  • Perform administrative and other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

BRC is seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Experience reading architectural plans, specifications, and elevations
  • Background in commercial furniture, architecture, interior design, real estate, or construction
  • Strong business acumen and professional selling skills
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail
