Job description
Adecco is currently seeking a detail-oriented, SAP Ariba experienced, Procurement Coordinator to support procurement operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment for a one year contract on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office) in Brantford. This role is responsible for coordinating supplier activities, supporting sourcing decisions, maintaining procurement systems, and ensuring compliance with established policies. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, supplier coordination experience, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization. QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Coordinator
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related coordination role
  • SAP Ariba experience required
  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes
  • Experience supporting supplier communications, quotations, purchase orders, and contract administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, sourcing support, or contract coordination is an asset
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, commercial terms, and vendor compliance requirements is an asset
RESPONSIBILITIES - Procurement Coordination
  • Interact with suppliers to ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and standards
  • Participate in supplier selection, evaluation, and ongoing supplier relationship management
  • Support purchase order processing and supplier communications
  • Review and compare supplier quotations, pricing structures, and proposals
  • Provide input into sourcing decisions and cost optimization opportunities
  • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends and pricing fluctuations
  • Assist in negotiating and recommending contracts based on operational requirements
  • Support contract discussions including commercial terms, liability, and compliance requirements
  • Issue RFPs to approved supplier partners
  • Maintain procurement systems and databases, including SAP Ariba
  • Manage supplier price lists and ensure pricing accuracy
  • Track delivery schedules, lead times, and order updates
  • Prepare procurement reports, vendor assessments, and KPI tracking
  • Support procurement compliance initiatives and performance targets
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Stores teams
  • Assist in defining material and service specifications
  • Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and payment issues
  • Address inventory discrepancies and delivery concerns with suppliers and internal teams
  • Support year-end activities and procurement administrative processes
