Job Summary
The Caregiver/HCA is an essential member of our home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.


Qualicare Homecare BC has immediate openings for Health Care Aides/Caregivers across BC, with a specific focus on supporting Korean-speaking clients in Burnaby and surrounding communities! Many of our local clients and families communicate best in Korean. This role allows you to make a deep, meaningful connection by providing culturally comfortable, language-matched care right in your community.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene
• Meal Preparation tailored to client preferences
• Light Housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication Assist / Reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship and converse fluently in Korean
• Ability to follow care-plan
• Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

• Fluency in Korean alongside conversational English
• Prior experience as a Caregiver or Health Care Aide required
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student) preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
• CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to travel to client homes in the local area
• Access to Internet /smart phone with data
