Exciting Opportunity : One-Year Contract with a Beverage Alcohol leader.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Commercial Execution - Western Canada, the Sales Manager (Alberta / Retail) will oversee the coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day performance of a team of District Managers in Alberta.
You will also be responsible for hiring and managing the part-time merchandising team for Alberta. This pivotal role focuses on establishing key performance metrics and building the team’s sales capabilities through frequent in-field coaching.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Performance Management : Develop, assign, and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for a team of District Managers.
- Sales Objectives : Ensure sales objectives are developed and deployed via Corby’s CRM platform, with appropriate tracking mechanisms.
- Retail Standards : Ensure the sales team understands and meets Corby’s retail standards for both chain and independent retailers.
- Budget Management : Oversee and manage regional promotional budgets, ensuring investments are within approved guidelines.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the Alberta leadership team to drive KPI delivery and execute regional commercial plans.
- Coaching : Provide in-field coaching to District Managers, ensuring compliance with Corby’s selling standards.
- Scorecard Development : Develop and execute District Manager Scorecards to drive performance and accountability.
- Performance Reviews : Conduct monthly performance huddles and annual performance reviews.
- Cultural Growth : Foster the Corby culture within the Alberta market (#One Team One Goal) and promote conviviality.
- Recruitment : Recruit and onboard new sales personnel for the Alberta / Retail team.
- Reporting : Report competitive activity and other relevant information to the Regional Trade Marketing Manager and Regional Sales Director.
- Additional Duties : Supervise in-store merchandisers and collaborate with regional Brand Ambassadors to drive brand experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of related outside sales experience and team management, preferably in beverage alcohol or CPG sales.
- University degree or relevant work experience.
Other Skills Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player.
- Travel required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.- car allowance provided
