Job Description
The primary function of the Operation Manager - Infrastructure is to support and oversee day to day IT operational delivery.
This includes hardware and software lifecycle management, server builds and patching, support and access management.
What You Will Be Doing :
- Reviews and implements best practices and innovations across windows server landscape.
- Coordinates support with vendors for maintenance, upgrades and ongoing support .
- Assist in the development and design of processes and procedures for Disaster Recovery in conjunction with IT Operations
- Management of VDI / Virtual desktop environments and Infrastructure.
- Storage configuration, monitoring and management.
- Design, implement, manage and maintain a stable, responsive, highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Act as a liaison of technical support to all departments to resolve complex issues and problems
- Manage overall team performance, metrics and SLAs.
- CMDB management.
- Owns RCAs for all infrastructure Incidents
- Acts as a point of escalation for all infrastructure service-related tickets.
- Manages an accurate, up to date and SOP documentation libraries.
- Support On Call team for high priority incidents, including on evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
What You Should Have :
- Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Certificates : AWS Certified Sys Op Admin, ITIL, MCSE, etc.
- 8+ years’ experience in IT Operations and Infrastructure.
- 6+ years of expertise in Infrastructure technology, Virtualization, Cloud, IT Support and management.
- Practical knowledge and experience with a broad range of infrastructure technologies and Internet facing environments. Examples including AWS, Windows Servers, VMware, Windows Servers.
- Demonstrated ability to design infrastructure achieving high levels of availability.
- Expertise in storage technologies, configuration and management.
- Experience in Enterprise-level software package integration and deployment.
- Expert understanding of infrastructure project lifecycles.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures & operation methodologies.
- Proven experience with defining and evaluating solutions, vendors, and technologies related to IT infrastructure.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to navigate the organization and motivate the teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- SCCM and Patch management lifecycles.
- Enterprise change management process.
- Experience in BaaS and DR / BCP
- Problem and Incident root cause analysis
- Hands on experience with IaaS, PaaS, EC2
