The Team

Scotiabank's Information Security & Control (IS&C)'s Global Identity and Access Management (GIAM) group is responsible for development, management and governance of Logical Access control for the Bank's information systems. The Systems and Software Architecture team within the Identity and Access Management focuses on the design, development, operation and enhancing of the Bank's portfolio of IAM applications and services. These services collectively enable key identity lifecycle management (onboarding and offboarding to the organization), authentication, as well as application and data access governance functions to be performed.

The role :

The Manager, IAM Applications and Operations will lead a DevOps team within the Systems and Software Architecture team towards providing hands on support of Scotiabank's key authentication and access governance applications both in steady state and project delivery capacities. The successful candidate can also expect to play a strong role in the oversight of internal technology teams responsible for the care and feeding of server, database and storage infrastructure supporting GIAM's application portfolio in all environments (DEV, UAT, PROD).

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You possess effective communication skills (verbal / written / presentation).
  • You have at least 5-7 years of hands-on technical experience supporting both off the shelf and custom inhouse developed applications preferably in the IAM functional area
  • Possess 3-5 years of experience managing, coaching and training application support personnel in an IT operational capacity
  • Experience with IAM tools and products preferred especially experience with managing identities with any of the following : Sailpoint IIQ (strongly preferred), Sailpoint File Access Manager, Active Directory, Quest Active Server Role / One Identity, RadiantLogic FID, Oracle Waveset, etc
  • Hands on knowledge and the ability to teach any of the following programming languages (Java, BeanShell, JSP / Servlets, C / C++, PERL, Powershell, VB Script, SQL, PL / SQL etc.)
  • Hands on experience with web based technologies (WebService, XML, SOAP, REST, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, Firewalls, HTML, xHTML, JSON etc.)
  • Working experience with server operating systems (Windows, RedHat Linux) and databases (primarily Microsoft SQL and Oracle)
  • Effective project planning and time management skills to ensure multiple tasks and project streams are delivered on time
