Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Platform Engineer with a strong analytical mindset and comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity methodologies to join our Technology Team! In this role, you will leverage expertise in technology infrastructures such as Firewalls, VPNs, Data Loss Prevention, IDS / IPS, Web Proxies, and conducting Security Audits.
Successful candidates will be proficient in handling diverse technologies, resolving security challenges, and proficiently troubleshooting network issues.
What You'll Do :
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
- Understanding of Change Management Process and Tools.
- Troubleshooting security and network problems.
- Responding to all system and / or network security breaches.
- Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
- Participating in the change management process.
- Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
- Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.
Experience, Education and Designations :
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or other IT-related field of study
- Industry certification such as SSCP, GSEC and CySA+, Blue Team Level 1 or ISACA CSX required
- 3-5 years of experience working in a Cyber Security-related role
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes :
- Working technical knowledge of system vulnerability scanning and remediation
- Experience working with and administering Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Single Sign On (SSO), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, Palo Alto, and Endpoint Security.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, and / or Power Shell.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
- Demonstrate pro-active individual effectiveness and within team-oriented, collaborative environments
- Insatiable appetite for learning and sharing your cybersecurity knowledge
