Description
The ServiceNow Platform Demand & Release Manager is responsible for overseeing the demand process as well as the planning, coordination, and execution of platform releases & upgrades.
This requires coordination with various teams, managing dependencies, and resolving any conflicts that may arise during the release process.
Primary Responsibilities :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, operations, and product management, to define release requirements and schedules.
Lead Platform Demand Board, managing demand intake, engaging partners, consolidating platform demand, and planning into future releases.
Develop and maintain release plans, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Coordinate release activities, including release readiness reviews, deployment planning, post-release evaluations, and release notes.
Manage the release process, ensuring that all necessary steps are followed and that releases are delivered on time and within budget.
Communicate release status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, development teams, and customers.
Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the release schedule or quality.
Work closely with development teams to ensure that release requirements are clearly defined and understood.
Implement and improve release management processes and tools to increase efficiency.
Qualifications :
Informative experience in computer science, IT, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in software release management, project management, or related roles. Experience with the ServiceNow platform is highly desirable.
Proficiency in release management tools is essential. Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and cloud technologies may also be beneficial.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and implement complex release cycles, are crucial.
Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and clients.
The platform release manager will clearly communicate release plans, timelines, and potential risks.
Attention to detail is critical to ensure the accuracy and completeness of release documentation, version control, and configuration management.
