The Data & Analytics (DnA) organization within EA brings both quantitative and qualitative insights to the entire company, including game teams, through Studio Analytics, Data Products, Developing and Data Science.
We develop, manage, and improve our data capabilities to deliver value and outcomes to our EA businesses.
The team is looking for a Technical Director with a strong background in software development and leadership experience.
Reporting to the Group Technical Director of DnA, you will lead initiatives within our Data Strategy, focusing on data systems aimed at enabling data teams to create and scale their data products and business intelligence capabilities more efficiently, transparently, and cost-effectively.
Your Role
- Direct a team of experienced data and software developers in the development, and realization of our supported data architectures
- Foster a collaborative, success-oriented, and accountable environment within the team
- Mentor and guide team members, facilitating their professional growth and technical proficiency
- Collaborate with infrastructure, data architects, and product teams to deliver high value, Multi-Cloud and Cloud Native solutions
- Participate directly in the coding, testing, and debugging phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Ensure adherence to established coding standards and software developing practices within the development team
- Lead technical decision-making, serving as the primary point of contact for complex technical issues
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with strategic partners and clients
- Manage technical risks and opportunities
- Perform code reviews, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and robust code
- Keep updated with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in data infrastructure and data management systems and integrate them into operations and activities
Ideally, You Have
- Computer Science, Developing or equivalent degree
- Minimum of 10 years of software development experience
- Minimum of 6 years of managing technical resources and developers
- Provide translation of business concepts into a technical architecture
- Experience collaborating and coordinating with multiple teams to provide quality software solutions
- Passionate about data and technology with focus on customer satisfaction
- Experience in building strong technical teams and talent
- Familiarity with large-scale containerization and microservices technologies

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) :
º $160,200 - $229,100 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI / QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental / adoption leave), extended health / dental / vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. "
