Wage Range or Salary : Non-union range (to commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Status : Temporary Part-time (1 Year Contract)

Position Summary :
Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of for the Cancer Education Program.
- Under the direction of the Manger, Patient Library and Information Services, the responsibilities of the PATIENT MANAGEMENT CENTRE REPRESENTATIVE include : ensuring the provision of optimum customer services;
- collecting, verifying and correcting patient demographic information; generating revenue by investigating insurance coverage, patient accommodation and allocation options;
- maintaining on-going awareness of Hospital-wide bed inventory and performing other relevant activities to facilitate optimum revenue generation;
- receiving, processing and scheduling bed Operating Room ( bookings for patient admission; maintaining Hospital-wide bed inventories;
- performing unit specific activities to ensure the effective operation of the unit; performing cross-functional responsibilities, as required;
performing cross-functional duties, as assigned and / or requested performing other duties consistent to the job classification, as required.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary general or medical office administration program at the diploma level or equivalent
- One to two (1 - 2) years related medical administrative support experience
- Previous on-the-job computer / word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience
- Experience in a Microsoft Office environment
- Previous mainframe, word processing, database and spreadsheet experience required
- Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service required
- Experience in a health care setting preferred.
