The McNish Steel team is looking for new members, specifically rebar bender operators. We are a family-owned rebar fabrication leader in Edmonton, for over 40 years.

Job Description :

As a bender operator, you will :

• Set-up and operate manual rebar benders, which requires the ability to understand measuring tapes, angle checks and complete physical handling of rebar.
• Adhere to shop policies and safety requirements.
• Assist in additional shop tasks, when needed.
• Ensure your work meets quality standards

Requirements :

• Be reliable!!!
• Understanding of basic math skills
• Be able to complete physical work and work in a manufacturing setting, lifting up to 20lbs for extend periods of time
• Be familiar with basic hand tools
• Have basic computer skills, for machine set-up and for interacting with shop scanning system
• Be able to work in a team environment and practice good communication skills
• Be able to follow instructions
• Be organized and have problem solving mind set

Compensation Information

• Work hours : 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime as needed during peak season.
• Full benefits paid by company after probation period
• Matching RRSP plan after 1 year
• Competitive salary : Starting at $2 2. 50 for no experience but negotiable based on experience.
