Reporting to the Director ofAcademic Operations, the Manager of Experiential Learning provides thestrategic and operational management of the Experiential Learning function atNAIT.
The Manager is responsible for oversight andadministration of NAIT-wide Experiential Learning, which houses several broadareas including Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Cooperative Learning (COOP),Engagement Initiatives (e.
- g., NeXT in Trades), and Events (e.g., casecompetitions, open house). The oversightand administration for the experiential learning portfolio typically includesdeveloping strategic plans;
- the creation, implementation, and reinforcement ofconsistent best practices; short- and long-term operating budgets; short- andlong-term capital budgets, operational administration of revenue sources;
performance objectives; and regular review of actual performance to plans.
The Manager also significantly drives NAIT-wide ExperientialLearning strategic planning, co-development of experiential learning programming,and the overall evolution of Experiential Learning at NAIT.
The team actively champions directives toensure the front-line delivery to all clients (students, external stakeholders,and NAIT staff) is effective, efficient, and meaningful.
KeyResponsibilities :
Provides day-to-daymanagement to the experiential learning team, including having oversight ofadministrative functions, budget monitoring, resolving issues / problems, programreporting and involvement in related strategic initiatives.
Creates, develops andleads short- and long-term strategies that allow for consistent, effectiveoperational practices that meet internal and external experiential learning outcomes.
Implements,coordinates, and manages the alignment and operations of experiential learningportfolio NAIT-wide.
Provides leadership,develops partnerships and ensures service excellence and operationaleffectiveness.
Leads and develop teamsthat exemplify collaboration and agility.
Human, financial, andcapital resource management.
Knowledge,Skills & Abilities :
Well-developed interpersonal,communication, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge ofexperiential learning programs and best practices is required; Goodunderstanding of pedagogical literature and application of theory, especiallywith regards to experiential learning, community-based learning,work-integrated education, student engagement, instructional design, andeducational assessment and evaluation.
Customer serviceskills; tact and diplomacy.
Time management,organizational, and priority setting skills.
Significant knowledgeof leadership methods, practices and techniques.
Problem solving andproject management skills.

Qualifications :
Related post-secondary degree.
3-5 years of relatedexperience.
Equivalent combinationsof education and experience may be considered.
Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration : $87,684.22 - $116,170.86 annually, plus acomprehensive benefits package.
