TELUS Finance - Capital & Asset Management is a dedicated and collaborative team that supports TELUS Corporate reporting and the overall Capital Project and Asset Systems, by delivering value-added reporting to internal stakeholders, and monitoring capital spend to enable executive decisions on capital investment targets.

As a trusted Finance Business Partner, you will support key projects like the SAP / ERP migration with a focus on data clean-up, manage SAP security controls, handle regulatory reporting, and prepare monthly variance analysis.

You will aid in improving processes through automation and fulfilling ad-hoc reporting needs. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace are essential.

Here’s how

  • Support the requirements of the SAP upgrade, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with organizational goals
  • Assist the Senior Financial Analyst with the clean-up of master data in the SAP Project and Asset Systems, including reconciliations and retirements, in preparation for migration to a new ERP system
  • Assist in maintaining SAP security controls and annual gathering information for audits
  • Handle CRTC and Stats Canada reporting
  • Prepare monthly reports and perform related variance analysis
  • Support the creation, maintenance and closure of capital projects, and investment management hierarchies
  • Prepare Stale Project and Commitment reports, and follow up with stakeholders to action closures and clean up
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements through simplification and automation to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests as required

  • Recognized for 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance-related field
  • Strong analytical skills, data-driven insights, and a keen attention to detail
  • Results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and adept at decision-making and problem-solving
  • Expert in working well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Skilled in managing multiple deliverables to meet deadlines and goals in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and ambiguous environment
  • Respected for excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate confidently with senior leaders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong knowledge of Excel, and experience with Google Workspace
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and presentation using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills, including task scoping, goal setting, scheduling, prioritization, and problem anticipation
  • Initiative and accountability in resolving issues and completing tasks, driving process efficiency, and continuous improvements

Great-to-haves
