As part of a cross-functional team, the Sr. Manager Product Development, Marketing is responsible for coordinating all stages of the new product development for Tim Hortons Food portfolio, from concept stage to market-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end commercialization of new product innovations and initiatives (working with internal teams and co-manufacturers) across new platform development, LTO promotion, quality and cost improvements,
  • Lead development, testing, evaluation of the new ingredients
  • Create ingredient product specifications in the internal system
  • Conduct external consumer sensory research and provides recommendations to the leadership
  • Work with multiple cross-functional teams to transition projects from start to launch by meeting key timelines
  • Attend plant trials and support product launches
  • Works closely with cross functional teams to ensure product quality, compliance with Canadian regulations and specifications
  • Attend existing and new ingredient evaluations at test laboratory to ensure all ingredient parameters meet specifications
  • Works closely with the Procurement team to ensure ingredient pricing meets set targets
  • Manage and leads team of two

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Product Development, Food Science BSc or MSc
  • Product Development experience working in food production / manufacturing ideally with QSR experience
  • Sensory evaluation skills
  • Passion for food and innovation
  • Results-driven, self-motivated individual passionate about championing new ideas and improving current process
  • Good knowledge of plant processes, equipment, ingredient functionality and food regulations
  • Ability to build strong collaborative working relationship with cross functional teams
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office : Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
