The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Lead, ideally with a background in Risk Modelling in Financial Services, and related sectors.

We have recently created a Solutions / Products group within our Consulting organization, to transform the way we deliver value to our clients and leapfrog our competition.

In this new world, we believe that the best work will be done by not just throwing more humans at the problem, but by intelligently building offerings that 10x our impact.

This role will be a key part of this new product leadership group, focusing on the development of data offerings and digital products that address complex, risk-related challenges, and drive innovation in the financial services industry.

Your Key Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for impactful products : The most crucial aspect of this role is to be the visionary product leader we need you to be.

This will entail understanding EY’s strengths, exploring the complete world of opportunities, developing a point of view on where success will come from, and leading your product(s) from discovery to delivery to create impact.

This role is for those who want to have ownership, and to craft the strategy for impactful products.

Leadership and buy-in : We deeply value leadership and collaboration at EY, and know that the best products are created as a group effort.

You will have the opportunity to lead with your ideas, and collaborate with subject matter experts globally to create large scale products.

Your role will involve selling your vision both internally and externally, just as it is expected of all successful product leaders.

Delivering product and business outcomes : As EY’s Solutions / Products group, we do things differently. We want our product leaders to not be leading feature factories, where people simply capture requirements and churn out user stories.

We are looking at you to tell us how you want to deliver business outcomes, and own your product end to end to ensure that it is creating value both for our clients, and for EY.

Helping grow your business : We operate with an ownership mindset at EY. We know that you’ve done big things in your past, and we want to help you build your product portfolio in a way that is going to make you proud.

As you show success, we will be supporting you in growing your team, and take on even bigger challenges.

Levelling up the product craft : We are looking to bring in true craftspeople within our product group. A big part of our mandate internally is to level up how we think about product creation at EY.

You will have plenty of opportunities to not only coach others, but also bring your own frameworks and thinking to ensure we have a product management practice we’re all proud of.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrated expertise in risk and risk modelling within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in developing data analytics and digital product solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring teams and building robust client relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and visioning skills in product development and risk management.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a significant focus on risk, risk modelling, and digital products in financial services.
  • Proven experience in delivering outcomes, both for customers and for the business
  • In-depth understanding of risk management principles, financial regulations, and digital technology trends.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in leading digital transformation projects in risk modelling and management.
  • Advanced technical skills with a strong interest in the latest in risk management technologies and data analytics.
  • High motivation and a proactive approach to innovation and problem-solving.
