What You Will Do :

• Ensure consistent quality standards in food preparation according to client requirements and maintain safety and sanitation in the kitchen in accordance with Food Safe protocol.
• Prepare food items for sandwich making, including selecting and cutting bread, wrapping sandwiches, slicing cold meats and cheese, and distributing meats, fillings, garnishes, and other ingredients on breads.
• Visually inspect the appearance of all cold food for proper color combination and overall presentation to maintain appeal.
• Check and control proper storage of all food items in refrigerators and freezers to maintain product freshness.
• Prepare and set up a full salad bar for lunch and supper.
• Ensure food stocks are utilized effectively. What You Bring :
• Minimum of 5 years' cooking experience in a similar or hotel / institutional environment preferred.
• FoodSafe Level I certification at a minimum. SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset.
• Ability to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and responsibilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
