Job Purpose :
SECURE is looking for an intermediate Land Analyst / Administrator to join our team on a six-month contract basis, with a potential opportunity for full-time employment.
This position reports to the Team Lead, Land and supports business units in all facets of land, including Surface, Mineral and Contract management for the ongoing operations.
This role has the opportunity to work closely with Business Development, Environmental & Regulatory, Engineering & Construction and Facility & Well Operations.
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of Surface land procedures, agreements, third-party consents and the regulatory environments in Western Canada.
Consideration will be given to candidates with Mineral land experience, focusing on disposal rights and requirements in Western Canada, including all applicable Acts and Regulations to ensure operational compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement, including landowners, regulatory bodies, etc. to ensure accurate file management and contractual obligations are met
- Preparation and submission of online applications (surface and mineral) as required (ETS, OneStop, IRIS, eSubmissions, etc.)
- Area Management, including analysis and administration of existing land files (surface and mineral), including expiries, renewals, replacements and all other obligations or external inquiries
- Maintain timely, accurate and complete physical and digital land records, including updates of internal land system to accurately reflect new agreements, amendments or other updates as required
- Support Third Party and Rental Administration, including agreement preparation, routing and management, OneCall ticket management, and accounting support as required.
- Work closely with the Land Team and internal processes to ensure business needs are met on time and provide recommendations to increase efficiencies within these processes.
Qualifications / Competencies
The individual in this role will have :
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within the Oil and Gas Industry
- Diploma / Certificate in Land Administration is preferred.
- Active member of CAPLA and / or CALEP is preferred.
- Proficient in Land database systems (CS Explorer), including Optix
- User knowledge of Pandell Roads
- Knowledge and understanding of external online systems such as SPINII, ETS, ISC, IRIS, eSubmissions, KERMIT
- Solid understanding of land documents and applicable legislation and ability to apply such knowledge to ensure integrity and compliance of SECURE’s assets and operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and shifting workloads.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced and open environment.
