A company that offers accounting and tax services to clients in Canada and overseas, catering to small owner-managed firms, large privately held organizations, as well as individuals, trusts and partnerships, is seeking a Senior Accountant.
The candidate will work with a team of accountants and tax professionals. This position requires a self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong sense of urgency and a dedication to continuous personal and organizational improvement.
Primary Responsibilities : - Assist in planning, executing, and completing various Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team - Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts - Collaborate with the management team to ensure timely file planning and completion - Provide clients with personalized, attentive service to foster productive working relationships - Prepare and review financial statements and relevant note disclosures Qualifications : - Successful completion of Common Final Evaluation (CFE), at a minimum, with the CPA-in-waiting status - Eligible to work in Canada - Strong technical experience in accounting and tax - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Experience with Caseware / Caseview, Keystone, TaxPrep, and Quickbooks (QBO) is an asset - Able to communicate well with clients both verbally and in writing - Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to learn new technology tools quickly - Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
