Dietary Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals that meet their dietary needs.

This position involves working in an assisted living facility, hospital, or nursing home environment, where you will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Ensure that all food is handled safely and meets food safety standards.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Support the dietary team in planning menus that cater to the nutritional needs of residents.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and nursing staff regarding resident dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Participate in training sessions related to food safety, meal preparation, and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary aide role within an assisted living facility, hospital, or nursing home is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
• Attention to detail in following recipes and dietary guidelines.
• A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen environment.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Pay : $22.00 per hour

Expected hours : 20 40 per week

Flexible language requirement :

Schedule :

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
