Marketing & Communications Summer Student - Contract - Calgary

The Marketing and Communications Summer Student, reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, is responsible for working with the MarComm team to create bold, compelling and engaging content to tell the story of STARS.

In this role, you work with the team to understand content needs and write, edit, create communication plans, and help coordinate various department initiatives, gaining exposure to brand, communication and marketing for a highly regarded and highly specialized health care non-profit organization.

Key job duties Write stories for web and print publication Copy edit stories and content as part of our peer review process Write and create social media posts working with our social media team Create communication plans for specific initiatives that help drive forward organizational goals Support with content projects such as photo shoots, video shoots Competencies and experience required Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field is in process Basic understanding of brand, marketing and communications best practices Experience writing and editing Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 an asset What we offer!
