This position is required on site Monday to Friday at our location in Calgary, AB.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer will include :

• Supporting electronic hardware design including block diagrams, PCB schematic and layout , and manufacturing design transfer
• Supporting design of process control and automation systems including electrical architecture diagrams, schematics, and other work packages
• Conceptualization of architecture solution paths for highly customized client design requirements
• Developing scripts and other software tools to enhance or optimize testing, reporting, or analysis
• Identifying industry standards and codes relevant to a product, analyzing pertinent clauses for the product, and verifying compliance with these standards
• Collaborating in design team meetings including project and design review
• Electronics prototyping including hand soldering and PCB rework
• Test plan development and preparing test reports
• Test execution, measurement, and analysis of hardware design

On your resume, we ask that you demonstrate :

• Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering
• Exposure to Altium Designer or other PCB and schematic development tools
• Understanding and demonstrated application of regulatory standards and codes (e.g. IEC / CSA 60601-1, 60079-1, 61010-1, FCC part 15 / ICES-003)
• 3-5 years experience in prototype development, testing, and manufacturing environments
