As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of inventory and incoming and outgoing shipments.
You will use forklifts to relocate materials across the facility with minimal supervision. You will manage inventory and transaction systems.
Assists other departments in acquiring inventory to fill shortages and daily orders from other locations. Forecasts standard inventory usage and routinely orders appropriate quantities.
Facilitates usage of slow moving & obsolete inventory.
As a Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for :
- Using forklifts and pallet jacks to work with support equipment manager to ensure lifting and handling equipment is properly repaired and certified
- Assisting with ordering to minimize inventory levels whilst maximizing service level to Operations and working with regional Inventory teams
- Advising on correct parts, part availability, and usage
- Developing positive working relationships with other functional areas
- Maintaining inventory and areas to be organized and hazard free
- Handling NCR, investigating parts and submitting NCR workflows
- Issuing and returning parts and creating Oracle transactions, inventory and restocking upon return, create PSR’s as needed
- Receiving Inventory shipments and verifying for accuracy
- Creating Oracle transactions, and requesting transfers and order parts to cover shortages
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will :
- Have an Associates Degree, or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
- Have 5+ years’ experience in inventory control, customer service or production control.
- Have good math skills
- Have experience receiving, returning, and logging incoming and outgoing tool deliveries, preferred.
- Have experience and certification in using forklifts or be able to obtain
- Possess experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar systems preferred
- Be able to work alone and self-motivate
- Have excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
